while comparing rural urban voting patterns most of the commentators seem to miss out on urban poor. The increase in number of urban poor may be one reason for successive Congress victories in urban areas. This turns on its head the theory that BJP has an advantage over Congress in urban areas. Hope urban poor get more attention.
